Wiltshire Citizens Advice

Chief Executive 

£44,000 per annum

Based in Trowbridge


Wiltshire Citizens Advice provides free, impartial and independent advice to people across the County and supports a range of national projects.

We’re looking for an exceptional Chief Executive to lead the team of staff and volunteers and work with the Trustee Board to shape and implement future strategy.

Wiltshire Citizens Advice has an annual turnover of £1.2m and has 120 volunteers and 49 staff. We deliver services through four main advice centres in Trowbridge, Chippenham, Devizes and Salisbury, with outreach offices in several other towns and villages throughout the county.

We have an ambitious rolling three year strategic plan to further develop our multichannel advice service based upon client need, influence policy through our campaigns, develop our partnerships and secure the resources we need to deliver our objectives.

Project Caseworkers

Hours: Full time (37 hours) and Part time (15 - 18.5 hours per week)

Location: Flexible within Wiltshire with the ability to travel countywide.

Salary: £22,748 per annum pro rata plus 6% pension contribution after 3 months

Annual Leave:  33 days (inclusive of bank holidays), pro rata

Term: Permanent

What you need: Wiltshire Citizens Advice is looking for a client focussed individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to empathise and understand the complex issues faced by clients.  You will need excellent communication skills, in all forms, as well as an orderly, high-standard, approach to a demanding workload.

What you don’t need: Previous work experience in Citizens Advice is not necessary or knowledge of welfare benefits or debt issues.

We will equip you with all the skills and knowledge you need.

You will have an empathy and commitment to work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service and can identify with our values to be fair, responsible and professional.
